I’ve chosen a fun Summer Mystery Quilt pattern appropriately called Bobbin Along that uses 3 fabrics and has 6 steps! This project promises to be an exciting journey as each week brings new surprises. The finished quilt will measure approximately 69” x 87”, making it a perfect addition to your summer decor or a cozy throw for chilly evenings. This mystery will begin with an email to all participants Monday July 7th and run through Monday August 11th when you will receive the final clue!
Fabric Requirements:
4 1/4 yards LIGHT FABRIC
2 1/2 yard MEDIUM FABRIC
2 yards DARK FABRIC
1 yard binding
The most important thing to remember when selecting fabrics for a mystery quilt is CONTRAST!! Choose your fabrics in the values suggested. The fabric color is not as important as it’s value. Use one color for a monochromatic color scheme or as many as three (3) different colors. Select a variety of scales and visual textures. Use directional prints ONLY if you are prepared to ignore their prints.
